The Picture Problem
Most people renovating a home are making the largest purchase of their year from a floor plan and a few samples. They cannot see the finished room — only imagine it. Sometimes that works out. Often it does not.
We started by fixing that one thing: a photorealistic image of the actual space, with real materials and real dimensions, delivered in under a week. Not a mood board. Not a catalog photo of somebody else's kitchen. Your room.
The Gap After
The renderings worked. Clients approved rooms faster and with more confidence. But the same question came back every time: “Where do I actually buy this?”
The answer was usually nowhere good. Retail curtains come in standard widths that fit almost no window exactly. Rugs come in sizes that leave the room looking unresolved. The specific lamp in the rendering was discontinued, or backordered, or only sold in a showroom three states away. What was in the image and what was available to buy were two different things.
One Partner, Both Halves
So we built the other half. Today every rendering comes with a sourcing list — each furnishing in the image, priced, with the option to have it made to your measurements. Curtains to your exact window. Rugs in the size the room needs. Nothing limited to what happens to be in stock.
And because the rendering is what got you here, we credit it back. Order $1,500 or more of furnishings within 30 days and the design fee comes off the total. Design studios get the same arrangement at trade pricing, with a $2,500 threshold.
Why direct
The markup chain is the only thing
we take out.
A decorative pillow that sells for $65 in a showroom was made for under $12. Between those two numbers sit an exporter, an importer, a distributor, a warehouse, and a lease on retail space. Five parties, none of whom touched the pillow. The product is not expensive — the chain is.
We work directly with the factories themselves. Not trading companies, not wholesale markets, not agents who forward your inquiry. This is possible because of where we are: the Pearl River Delta, where textiles, ceramics, lighting, and furnishings have been manufactured for export for three decades. Mills, dye houses, glassworks, and metal finishers within a few hours of each other.
The practical result is that we can have something made rather than found. A curtain in your window's width, in a linen weight the mill already produces, costs less than a standard-width panel from a retail store — because nothing was made in the wrong size first and marked up twice before reaching you.
This is also why we only do light furnishings. Curtains, rugs, pillows, lighting, bedding, decor. These are the things where custom measurement genuinely matters, where freight is manageable, and where the markup chain was the most inflated. Sofas and dining tables are better bought locally, where delivery, assembly, and returns are straightforward. We would rather do one thing properly than be a worse version of a furniture store.
